U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) cooperative grants are available to U.S. and territories state governments, tribal governments, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations to make solar energy more accessible. Applicants are required to submit a notice of intent prior to a full application and are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to finalize. Funding is intended to expand the number of low-income and disadvantaged communities primed for residential solar investment—enabling millions of low-income households to access affordable, resilient, and clean solar energy. Letters of Intent are due on July 31. Grant applications are due Sept. 26.
