KLC Insurance Launches New Safe Driving Campaign

 KLC launched a new series of safe driving training videos as part of a year-long safety initiative led by the KLC Insurance Loss Control Department, reinforcing its commitment to helping cities reduce risk, prevent accidents, and protect employees.

Motor vehicle accidents remain one of the most common and costly exposures for cities. These new training videos give city employees practical guidance they can apply immediately, whether they drive daily or occasionally in their jobs. The training supports KLC Insurance’s proactive approach by focusing on behaviors and decisions that most often lead to claims.

The Safe Driving video series addresses:

• Key considerations before getting behind the wheel
• Unsafe human behaviors that contribute to preventable accidents
• Unsafe driving behaviors
• Distracted driving and backing accidents

The videos and other useful resources can all be found on the Loss Control Resources tab in the KLC Insurance webpage dashboard. You must be logged in to access the dashboard.

To reinforce the training, KLC Insurance has also made available safe-driving posters, reminder stickers, and air vent fresheners to members. They provide visual reminders, making it easy to reinforce safe driving expectations in city garages, offices, break rooms, and fleet vehicles year-round.

This coordinated effort — video training, visual reminders, and direct support from KLC’s loss control staff — reflects KLC Insurance’s ongoing focus on prevention, education, and the protection of the people who serve Kentucky’s cities every day.
