The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) is seeking a dedicated city representative to serve on the Kentucky Public Transportation Infrastructure Authority (KPTIA). This is a vital opportunity to ensure city interests are heard at the highest level of state transportation planning. As a member of this 11-person board, you will play a direct role in how our commonwealth moves.

What Does the Authority Do?

The KPTIA oversees major transportation projects across Kentucky. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and approving significant infrastructure initiatives.
  • Monitoring project progress and performance.
  • Assisting with financing, operations, and long-term management.

  • Appointment: The governor will appoint a city representative to the board from a list of nominees provided by KLC.
