The United States Environmental Protection Agency is accepting applications for brownfield grants for fiscal year 2026. Brownfields are properties that contain or may contain a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant that could cause issues when redeveloping or reusing the property.
The grants include:
• Community-wide assessment grant guidelines – funding up to $500,000
• Assessment Coalition Grant Guidelines – funding up to $1.5 million
• Cleanup Grant Guidelines – funding up to $500,000 or between $500,001 and $4 million
• Multipurpose Grant Guidelines – funding up to $1 million
The EPA will host two live webinars to assist participants with understanding grant criteria.

Registration is open for an additional Blueprint Kentucky webinar, "Understanding and Navigating the FY26 Brownfield Solicitation," scheduled for Monday, Dec. 8, at 1:00 p.m. EST.
The EPA also offers prerecorded videos to provide an overview of the grant submission process, a narrative information sheet, and threshold requirements for each grant type.
