The City Officials Academy is an in-depth training event designed to empower city officials with the knowledge, skills, and resources essential for effective leadership. Over two-and-a-half days, participants will engage in interactive sessions on the following key topics:

• General City Government Operations
• Open Meetings and Open Records
• Budget and Taxation
• Procurement
• Parliamentary Procedure

Every session is tailored to meet the unique needs of city officials. This program is ideal for newly elected officials, recently appointed leaders, and seasoned professionals seeking a comprehensive refresher on the fundamentals of city governance.

Attendees will also receive a complimentary copy of the latest City Officials Legal Handbook, an invaluable $50 resource.

New This Year: KLC is offering a "Ready to Win" Leadership Preconference with former UK Women's Basketball Coach Matthew Mitchell on January 14. Participants must register for the half-day workshop separately. City Officials Academy registration and costs do not cover the separate preconference event.

Credit: 18 hours training credit for KLC's City Official Training Center and/or Training Incentive Program (HB 119), including 1 hour of ethics. Approved for 9 CLE credits through the Kentucky Bar Association.
