Kentucky cities in coalfield counties can apply for a share of $29.5 million in funding from the Abandoned Mine Lands Economic Revitalization Program. Funds can be used to design, develop, and create projects that encourage economic development.
The Kentucky Division of Abandoned Mine Lands is accepting applications through May 11, 2026. Staff will be available on the following dates to provide in-person assistance with completing and submitting applications.
