City of Hurstbourne Earns City of Ethics Designation

The City of Hurstbourne has earned designation as a Kentucky League of Cities Certified City of Ethics, demonstrating its commitment to ethical leadership, transparency, and accountability in local government.

To achieve certification, Hurstbourne reviewed and updated its ethics ordinance, adopted policies that promote ethical decision-making and conflict resolution, and completed ethics training for elected officials and ethics board members through KLC Personnel Services.

The voluntary KLC Certified City of Ethics Program recognizes municipalities that go above and beyond to establish strong ethical principles and procedures that guide city officials in serving their communities. The program also provides a framework for addressing ethical concerns at the local level while helping build public trust and confidence in city government.

Hurstbourne joins a distinguished group of Kentucky cities that have committed to maintaining high ethical standards in municipal government.

KLC's Certified City of Ethics Program is available to all KLC member cities. Cities interested in achieving or renewing their certification can contact KLC Employment Law Attorney Michael Simon.
