KLC Cybersecurity Preparedness Grant Deadline is Sept. 30

The deadline is quickly approaching for cities to apply for the Kentucky League of Cities Cybersecurity Preparedness Grant. Applications must be received no later than Sept. 30.

Grants can reach up to $15,000 for each member. Cities and other members can use the funds for various preventative measures to secure their vital data. Money can be used to identify possible security weaknesses, institute multi-factor authentication (MFA), create a data backup and disaster recovery system, add advanced threat protection software, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).

Grant amounts are based on billed liability premiums and will range from $1,000 to $15,000.
