Rural Violent Crime Reduction Grants - Ongoing

The Rural Violent Crime Reduction Initiative offers grants ranging from $25,000 to $150,000 and will cover a maximum 24-month period.

Those eligible include any of the following addressing a rural violent crime problem:

  • Publicly funded rural law enforcement agency
  • Local or county law enforcement agencies serving rural populations
  • Federally recognized tribal law enforcement agencies
  • Rural county prosecutor's office

The RVCRI application will always remain open. Applications will be reviewed and awarded on a quarterly basis.

The first cohort deadline was Dec. 15, 2022. Applications will be reviewed again in March, June, and September 2023.
