Toyota Child Safety Seat In-kind Grants – due May 1

In-kind grants of car seats and educational resources to USA nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and tribes to improve traffic safety. Grantees will distribute child safety seats and will provide education and installation assistance to families in need. This program aims to increase the use of motor vehicle restraints to help families live healthier and safer lives.

Buckle Up for Life partners work diligently to address the safety barriers in populations at a higher risk of motor vehicle related injury, placing special emphasis in Hispanic and African American communities. The Gift of Safety partnership provides free car seats and access to Buckle Up for Life educational resources to passenger safety programs across the U.S. Each Gift of Safety partner agency receives 50 convertible car seats to provide to local families in need. Partners are expected to provide families with proper education and installation assistance, as well as a car seat pact to be signed and returned from every family—for basic reporting. Ideal Gift of Safety partners already have robust child passenger safety programs in place.
