City EDvantage Session: Effective Public Communication - Keeping Your Residents Informed

Tuesday, July 13
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. EDT

Nearly every county has an Emergency Alert System. This is primarily used to inform residents of tornado or severe thunderstorm warnings. But what about the issues that surface each day that need to be shared with residents? Water outages due to construction, broken water lines/boil water advisories, fire hydrant flushing, delays in trash pickups, power outages and estimated restoration times, office closures due to holidays/snow, civic events, spring cleanup days, Council meeting reminders…

Who Should Attend: City Administrators (Mayor, City Clerk, Utility Supervisors, Police, Chamber of Commerce) who need to share timely information with residents, businesses, and utility customers

Presenter: Ken Weber, COO REACH Alert - Over 12 years in the alert and notification business, Ken worked with top-flight developers to build the most intuitive, flexible, and easy to use notification service. Asking questions and incorporating the ideas of municipal leaders, he helped build REACH Alert to meet their needs.
