City EDvantage Session: Energy Financing as Economic Development - Exploring Kentucky’s PACE Law

Who should attend: Economic development personnel, finance personnel, planning personnel, attorneys, mayors, city managers, commissioners and council members

This City EDvantage Session will touch on the historical context of PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) financing in the Commonwealth, recent updates to the PACE program, and the legal how-to of creating an Energy Project Assessment District (EPAD). The program will also review successful case studies of energy-efficient projects throughout the Commonwealth. Participants will walk away with hands-on knowledge of how to implement and engage in PACE financing for their own communities, promoting sustainable economic development while creating financing opportunities for commercial property owners.
