City EDvantage Lunch Session: What Makes a "Smart City" Smart?

This event has ended.

Being a "smart city" means more than just advanced technology - it is also a commitment to quality management, security and procurement.

Most Kentucky cities don’t need an app to find parking or avoid traffic jams. However, they can enjoy smart infrastructure upgrades funded with energy savings. LED lighting (building and street) connected with real-time adjustments and feedback, real-time energy monitoring, advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), and water and wastewater treatment plant upgrades all make cities “smarter.” We will share insights on how this infrastructure can send and receive data, enabling officials to efficiently operate their utilities and reduce pressure on rates.

REGISTRATION IS FREE AND LUNCH IS PROVIDED.

Presenters: Anthony Wright and Brandon Marcum, Harshaw Trane
