We invite you to join us for City Day/City Night on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026. The yearly event is an excellent opportunity for city officials to network, meet with their legislators, and attend committee meetings.
The morning will kick off at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. followed by the KLC Board of Directors meeting at 9:00 a.m. KLC will provide lunch from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Capitol Annex cafeteria. Additionally, the KLC Frankfort office will be open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. KLC will hold the City Night reception at the Center for Kentucky History from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
We encourage city officials to attend legislative committee meetings in the Capitol Annex and make an appointment to discuss local issues with your community’s legislators. To learn who your legislators are, please visit this link and email them to schedule your meeting. It is important that your legislators hear your voice advocating to keep local decisions at the local level. Due to ongoing construction on the Capitol, there will be no opportunity to watch the House or Senate in person.
There is a room block at the Capital Plaza Hotel. If you have questions about hotel accommodation, please contact Deanna Brandstetter via email or phone at 800.876.4552. Hotel room block cutoff date is Feb. 12, 2026. You will receive hotel block information in your confirmation email once registered.
