Join Commissioner Bobbi Jo Lewis of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Department of Rural and Municipal Aid for an informative webinar on House Bill 546, passed during the 2025 Regular Session of the Kentucky General Assembly. This legislation establishes the Local Assistance Road Program (LARP) and sets key dates and requirements for cities applying for local road project funding.
Beginning June 1, 2025, applications open for the new LARP program. HB 546 sunsets the previous County Priority Projects Program (CPPP), which the 2024 General Assembly created and only applied to FY 2025 and FY 2026. LARP provides a new avenue for local governments to seek road project funding in addition to other available programs administered by the cabinet.
