Effective Jan. 1, 2025, medical cannabis will be legal in the commonwealth. Local governments face policy decisions on whether to allow medical cannabis businesses to operate locally. They can also determine where these businesses can be located. This online session will give local government officials an opportunity to hear how Kentucky's medical cannabis program will work and the options Kentucky's law provides to local governments.
