Avoiding Diversity Backlash

August 30, 2022

10:00 - 11:00 a.m. EDT

Having an honest conversation about workplace diversity requires us all to dig deep and think about not only how we see ourselves but also how we view others. In some instances, these uneasy discussions have inadvertently alienated individuals within the workplace. Diversity backlash is a real experience that can damage the strongest organizations. Sometimes leaders take deliberate steps to foster inclusion only to find reactions including outward anger, statements on social media, or ongoing staff resentment.

This webinar will discuss ways to create a workspace that is inclusive without alienation, how to seek feedback regularly to detect signs of backlash better, and how to adjust accordingly.
