It’s different in every community, but homelessness affects every Kentucky city. KLC is committed to helping cities approach the issue and find solutions.
Part of the initiative is a statewide study of housing and homelessness. KLC partnered with Eastern Kentucky University’s Department of Government to create a data snapshot for every Kentucky county, outlining figures on unhoused individuals (including children and veterans), rent availability/affordability, average wages for renters, and other local metrics. Multiple organizations in your city can use this valuable data, which KLC and EKU will review during this no-cost webinar.
Professionals from the Homelessness and Housing Coalition of Kentucky will help explain why the data matters to leaders. They will also review how to interact with the diverse population of unhoused persons in your community, including where to direct them for housing, mental health, addiction/recovery services, and more.
KLC will also unveil a new Step-by-Step Guide to Examine Homelessness and Affordable Housing in Your City.
