KLC Launches Summer Finance Series
KLC is launching a new three-part summer series to help city officials tackle the important and complex issue of city finances. Focused on practical guidance and real-world application, each session in the series will take a deeper dive into critical areas that directly impact how cities operate and serve their communities.
The sessions will guide participants through the local government budget process in a fun, engaging, and informative format, breaking it down into clear, manageable steps.
Participants will explore the requirements of KRS 91A.030 and walk through the full budget timeline, from early planning and preparation to the adoption of the final budget ordinance. Along the way, sessions will highlight key milestones, common challenges, and best practices.
