Liability
Kentucky League of Cities Insurance offers general liability, public officials' liability, law enforcement liability, and automobile coverages on an occurrence basis, with no annual aggregate limit. Cyber liability and sewer backup liability are also available.
Limits of $1 million to $10 million are available, with higher limits available upon request for most liability coverage, and a variety of deductibles are available to tailor coverage to your needs and manage your premium costs.
Property
KLC Insurance members can purchase property insurance coverage for buildings, building contents, property in the open, fine arts, valuable papers, and scheduled equipment. This coverage is written on a replacement cost basis and includes valuation services for many locations, depending on the value. Optional deductibles are available.
The program also provides coverage for:
- Flood coverage in zones B, C, and X, and Earthquake coverage
- Newly acquired locations within the first 90 days of acquisition
- Business Interruption & Extra Expense
- Property in transit
- Equipment breakdown (formerly boiler and machinery coverage)
- Employee Identification Fraud Expense
- Crime Coverage
- Specially trained canine mortality

These self-insured programs are member-owned and are governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of representatives from the participating members. All insurance programs are non-profit and are operated in the public interest.
Cities, their agencies, boards, commissions, units of local government, and other non-profit public purpose organizations are eligible to participate.
