KLC Announces Partnership with Kentucky State University

The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) and Kentucky State University are now partners in education.

KSU is the third university in the commonwealth to offer educational opportunities to municipal employees, officials, and their families.

“Public service and educational advancement should go hand in hand,” said Dr. Michael D. Dailey, provost and vice president for the Division of Academic and Student Affairs. “This program gives eligible participants a clearer, more supported route to the degrees and credentials that can help them grow professionally, support their families, and better serve their communities.”

The KSU Edge provides flexible on-campus and online learning tailored to the needs of city employees, officials, their spouses, and dependents, along with a 15% tuition discount and personalized assistance with admissions, registration, and financial aid.

“KLC is always pleased to provide opportunities that support our members and the communities they serve. Programs like KSU Edge make it more affordable for city officials and employees to continue their education, strengthening their leadership, and opening new possibilities for their cities,” KLC Executive Director/CEO J.D. Chaney said.

KLC has similar partnerships with Eastern Kentucky University and Midway University.
