Cities are eligible for Kentucky Fried Chicken Foundation Inc. grants of $10,000 for improving health and wellbeing. Funding is intended to support projects and programs in a variety of focus areas, including education and training, health and wellbeing, expanding access to food and shelter, and caring for animals and the environment.
The foundation is looking for tangible, actionable projects that are feasible to accomplish with the grant and will make an immediate impact in the community. If you have a larger project (i.e., 100-mile trail restoration), break it down into something that the grant could cover in full (i.e., 10-mile trail restoration out of the 100-mile project). If additional funding is needed, detailed plans for securing additional resources must be provided in the Project Budget.
