LG&E and KU grants of up to $5,000 are available to Kentucky and Virginia nonprofit organizations and local government agencies for tree-planting initiatives. Funding is intended for projects in urban and non-urban parks, parkways, forests, and highways. Applicants must be located in the service areas of LG&E and KU.
LG&E and KU offer one-year grants for urban, suburban, or rural projects in forests and parks, along parkways or roadways that meet program objectives.
Applicants must demonstrate that mature trees resulting from their efforts will not interfere with utility lines.
