Position Overview

The city clerk will be responsible for: 

  • Maintaining official records
  • Preparing meeting agendas
  • Attending monthly regular and any special council meetings
  • Preparing minutes
  • Prepare for mailing and mailing property tax bills, entering payments of tax bills on excel spreadsheet, sending out notices/delinquent tax letters, working with city attorney on delinquent taxes, if any, working with the city controller to send out tax refund checks
  • Picking up mail from PO Box; sorting & distributing mail
  • Opening and entering quarterly municipal insurance premiums tax returns and checks on spreadsheet; preparing deposit and depositing checks
  • Assist city controller in duties such as making deposits at the bank
  • Answering the phone and responding to emails in a professional manner
  • Prepare quarterly newsletters
  • Ensuring compliance with municipal regulations

Details

Hours: Monday - Thursday 10:00am – 3:45pm (no less than 92 – no more than 99 hours per month) 

Location: 3905 Brownsboro Road, Indian Hills Kentucky. Council meetings are being held at the Louisville Boat Club - 4200 River Road

Ideal Candidate Will Have Prior experience in:

  • Municipal administration
  • Knowledge of property tax bills procedures
  • Bank depositing experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Kentucky local government procedures
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Salary information: Pay begins at $28.90 per hour but may be higher based on experience
