City Clerk & Treasurer – Part-Time Position City of Murray Hill, Jefferson County, Kentucky

The City of Murray Hill, a home rule city located in eastern Jefferson County, is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to serve in a dual-role position as city clerk and treasurer. Our community consists of 170 homes and values professionalism, transparency, and efficient governance.

Position Overview: This part-time role combines two essential functions:

• City Clerk: Responsible for maintaining official records, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and ensuring compliance with municipal regulations.
• Treasurer: Oversees financial management including budgeting, reporting, and handling city funds.

Details:

• Hours: Approximately 25 hours per month
• Location: Primarily remote, with attendance required at monthly city meetings

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Prior experience in municipal administration, finance, or record-keeping
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Familiarity with Kentucky local government procedures
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
