The position requires graduation from an accredited high school or its equivalent (GED) supplemented by two years of progressively responsible experience in clerical work involving frequent contact with the public, or the equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform duties of the position, and the ability to be bonded. A background check will be required.The city clerk, under the general direction of the mayor and city commission prepares, maintains, and attests to official records of action taken by the city commission, prepares agendas and minutes for, and attends, all city commission meetings, performs work related to the receipt, deposit, custody, investment and disbursement of city funds, and performs other work as set forth in the position description. A knowledge of Quick Books Pro software and Excel would be helpful. The position is full time, thirty-seven and one half (37 1/2) hours per week.

Salary Information: $35,000.00, depending on qualifications and experience, plus benefits.
