MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, or related field supplement by two years of experience in administrative/supervisory experience in an office dealing with the public.
  • The City Clerk must possess leadership, collaboration, and excellent customer service skills to effectively complete the tasks of the position.
  • Keeping municipal records and office management while maintaining legal and ethical standards and best practices.
  • The candidate must be persistent, motivated, an effective communicator and organized.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of records management and be able to work well with others and have a keen ability to mediate and negotiate appropriate solutions to difficult and sensitive situations.
  • Under general legislative and administrative direction, prepares agenda for regular and special Commission meetings; serves as the clerk for the City Commission; plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and evaluates all records, activities, and programs of the city office not specifically assigned to another department; supervises all personnel assigned to the office and administers the city’s health and liability insurance programs; performs related work as required.

Salary Information: $19.00 per hour
