Augusta, Kentucky is a small city where citizens value law enforcement. Augusta, “the most picturesque town in Kentucky”,has a population under 1200. The city’s tax base includes one manufacturing company, tourism (over 30 events/yr.) and a distillery. The Augusta Police Chief is expected to be involved in the day-to-day aspects of patrol as an active member and leader of this small Department, which consists of 4 Officers, including the Chief. We pride ourselves on our commitment to community, core values, and an innovative approach to addressing the changing needs of our city. This position is for candidates with POPS certification or lateral entry applicants ONLY! Annual salary range $55,000 - $58,000 or higher depending on experience, plus $4,300 KLEFPF.
