The City of Covington is currently accepting applications for Special Projects & Grant Coordinator. Claire Meyer, our current Special Projects & Grant Coordinator is resigning from the City as of next Friday, September 30th. Claire has been a tremendous asset to the City and has been instrumental in the success of many current projects. We wish Claire all the best in her future endeavors! This position will be responsible for providing professional and technical support to Administration with systems and program measurement and benchmarking, organizational and operational analysis, policy analysis, research and reporting, and other special projects. Incumbent is also responsible for grant writing, coordination, and oversight as well as grant reporting and closeouts. Preparation of proposals and grant applications, and performance of responsible professional and administrative work in researching, identifying, developing, and responding to public grant opportunities for various departments within the City of Covington. This position requires the ability to secure new funding opportunities, research and identifying new funding opportunities. Work is performed under broad direction of the Assistant City Manager and collaboration with departments with much of the work performed independently. Pursuing candidates with a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four years related experience in project management, grant writing and contract administration OR an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Salary Information: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 DOQ
