GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is receive and respond to escalated customer inquiries concerning LEXserv residential and commercial accounts; to accurately summarize city surcharges; specializing in collections to regulate revenue for the City of Lexington.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate’s degree, vocational technical degree, or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two (2) years of college education; and, a minimum of two (2) years of billing experience in a call center setting; or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Handles escalated calls and inquiries Liaison between Customer Account Specialists and LEXserv Revenue Staff Oversee and approve/reject fee waivers Attend meetings with vendors Answers and responds incoming customer calls and emails to provide bill analysis, educate customers, process refunds & adjustments Assist customers with online accounts, provide payment options; update addresses Calculate installment down payments and reconnect payments Attend outreach events and site visits with various divisions Serves as Emergency Operations Center (EOC) staff in the event of an emergency. Performs related work as assigned.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Subject to shift work, extended duty hours, twenty-four hour call-back, holiday and weekend duty.
Salary Information: The minimum hourly rate is $19.091 per hour.
