The City of Taylorsville is seeking proposals regarding accounting services to monitor and perform standard financial procedures on a regular basis for a municipal government with a $1 million dollar General Fund and a Waterworks Company maintaining an operating budget of approximately $7 million dollars. Respondents must be Certified Public Accountants with 10 years experience, serve under contract for the City Commission and utilize the skills of two Co-Treasurers.

Responsibilities include being able to perform the following functions: oversee budget formulation by leading, attending, and documenting all budget meetings and associated efforts, documents and reports; perform financial and statistical analysis on budget if required; serve as a resource for all financial, and management issues; assist with annual inventory process; monitor all cash flow activities from various cash/savings accounts; oversee loans and grants; manage fixed assets; be responsible for monthly and fiscal year-end closing; coordinate the annual financial audit; create monthly financial reports, and presentation for the Board of Commissioners; evaluate expenses and revenues and make financial recommendations to the Commission. Must be bondable.

Proposals will be received at the Taylorsville City Hall, 70 Taylorsville Road, (P.O. Box 279) Taylorsville, Kentucky 40071 until 4:00 p.m. local time, Thursday, December 3rd, 2020, and publicly opened and read that same day at 4:30 p.m. at the City Hall Annex, with the City reserving the right to reject any and all proposals.
