Some departments serve as host sites for the training. A benefit of being a host site is that it includes instructor training for someone in the host department. This year, to maximize the training value to the Response to Resistance Simulator Instructor Conference, we are offering two individual training tracks based on the instructor’s experience. The first training track is a 16-hour course designed for those instructors with less than three years’ experience as an instructor. This training session will cover legal updates, 10 new scenarios with training objectives, and an in-depth discussion and orientation of the simulator. This course will also orient the instructors on basic weapon maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues. The instructor will be provided ample time to practice utilizing on-site simulators. The second training track is an eight-hour course designed for those instructors with more than three years’ experience as an instructor. This training session will cover legal updates along with the 10 new scenarios and training objectives for each.
Register 16-Hour Course: December 4, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and December 5, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Register 8-hour Course: December 4, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and December 5, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Kentucky League of Cities Insurance Services will provide lunch each day for instructor training. All other travel, lodging and any additional meals are the responsibility of the individual police departments.
