The Kentucky League of Cities $1 million Cybersecurity Preparedness Grant helps KLC liability policyholders secure vital data. Grant amounts can reach up to $15,000, and cities can use the funds for various preventive measures.
Money can be used to identify possible security weaknesses, institute multi-factor authentication, create a data backup and disaster recovery system, add advanced threat protection software, and for endpoint detection and response (EDR).
The grant period runs from November 15, 2021, to Sept. 30, 2023. Amounts are based on billed liability premiums and will range from $1,000 to $15,000.
