IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!  The City Officials Academy has transitioned to a single virtual event (in-person events have been cancelled)

The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) City Officials Academy is an intense multi-day training packed with practical information to help city leaders fulfill their duties effectively. Newly elected city officials will enjoy sessions on city finances, personnel issues, legal requirements, conducting meetings, ethics, taxes, legislative advocacy, and much more! Plus, you will have the opportunity to meet your peers, ask questions and get to know the KLC staff. Your citizens depend on you and you can depend on KLC.

Included with registration is the 2021 edition of the City Officials Legal Handbook, a $50 value, and “must-have” tool of first resort for every Kentucky city.

  • City Officials Training Center (COTC) and/or Training Incentive Program (House Bill 119) credit available: 21.25 hours
  • Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit available: 12.0 hours
  • Kentucky Board of Accountancy Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit available: 5.0 hours
