Did you know that, though not required, masonry ordinances can have positive and long-term impacts for cities? This unique educational session will explore prevailing development in southeastern communities, including Kentucky case studies, and present masonry ordinances as a long-term planning solution for these communities.
We'll explore study results which suggest that imposing masonry ordinances, by setting standards for construction quality, will enhance the durability and aesthetic value of local properties, increase the attractiveness of the local community and thus benefit both local residents and business. The session will also review the impact of masonry ordinances on housing price effects, housing cost effects, and community and business impacts.
Who should attend? Mayors, commissioners/councilmembers, code enforcement officers, city managers/administrators, city finance officers, and risk & safety directors.
