PSC Schedules Public Meetings for KU Rate Increase Case
At its December meeting, the KLC Board of Directors voted to allow KLC to participate on behalf of its members in a rate increase case before the Public Service Commission. KLC’s goal in intervening in the case was to defend cities against excessive utility rate increases planned to be implemented by Kentucky Utilities. The case is progressing quickly, and the PSC has scheduled three public meetings to present information and hear comments from the public regarding the case.
If you would like to learn more about the issue and why it is important to city governments, you can attend one of the upcoming public meetings in Louisville, Madisonville or Lexington. Information regarding the meeting times and locations can be found on the PSC’s website at http://psc.ky.gov/
If you have questions regarding KLC’s intervention in the case, please contact Laura Ross, Managing Counsel for Member Legal Services.
