Hiring Practices - Avoid Steep Penalties Regarding the I-9 Form

All employers are required to fill out an I-9 form on all new hires.  The I-9 form is used to verify the employee’s identity and their ability to work in the United States.  Penalties for not filling out this form, or from filling it out improperly can cost employers thousands of dollars.  The current form, as well as information and instructions for filling out the I-9 form can be found here:  http://www.uscis.gov/i-9
