Under general administrative direction, identifies all sources of grant funds available and prepares applications for funding from external organizations, administers and audits grants awarded and accepted, and advocates for state and federal funding.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential:

  • Oversees City grant activities, including grant identification, grant writing, and grant administration.
  • Works with the Chief Administrative Officer, City Attorney, and Finance Director to review and interpret grant agreements for compliance.
  • Works with Department Directors and/or designees to ensure all documentation for various grants and KIA loans are completed and submitted to funding agencies.
  • Serves as a liaison between the funding agency/source and the city.
  • Administers all grants in accordance with Federal, State, and Local laws, including completion of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports to ensure compliance with auditors, State, and Federal agencies.
  • Conducts public hearings as required by funding agencies/sources and obtains community input, as necessary.
  • Selects and manages consultants on various grant-related projects.
  • Works with the Finance Director and auditors during financial audit periods to ensure correct reporting of monies received.
  • Manages wind-down and other activities associated with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding or other specialized, one-time funding pools, as applicable.

Salary Information: $70,000-$85,000
